A Historic Clawfoot Tub, Reimagined - Third-Floor Bathroom Remodel

Project Details

This busy family came to us with a beautiful, well-loved home—and three bathrooms that all needed attention. Each space had its own set of challenges, and they wanted every room to feel functional, refreshed, and true to the architectural character they cherished. For the third-floor bathroom, one thing was certain: the original clawfoot tub had to stay. Our clients loved its charm, and instead of replacing it, they wanted to give it the spotlight it deserved.

We carefully removed the cast iron tub, fully gutted the space, and rebuilt the room around it. The finished design features a timeless black-and-white palette and floor-to-ceiling tile that adds height and dimension. One of the most unique details is the hand-laid mosaic floor pattern—our tile installer meticulously removed individual pieces and replaced them with contrasting tiles to create a bespoke design.

The result is a beautifully restored bathroom that honors the home’s character while feeling fresh, functional, and thoughtfully elevated.

How Our Design-Build Process Works

Remodeling doesn’t have to be overwhelming. We’ve spent years building a process that keeps things clear, organized, and efficient—start to finish. You won’t be chasing contractors or stuck waiting for answers. Our three-phase design-build approach brings everything under one roof: design, pricing, and construction. Here's how it flows:
Discovery

We get to know your home, understand how you live, and map out the possibilities. This includes layout options, a realistic investment range, and a clear scope of work so everyone’s aligned from the start.

Design Finalization

Once the big decisions are made, we dive into the details—materials, finishes, drawings, and walkthroughs. We’ll help you make confident selections and lock in a fixed price before we build a thing.

Construction

With everything approved and ordered, our in-house team and trusted trade partners get to work. You’ll get daily updates, streamlined communication, and a build that runs the way it should.
