A Modern Zen Primary Bath

Pittsburgh

the details:

This second floor remodel in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh was designed to create personalized but playful updates catering to the family’s needs. The primary suite features a spacious bathroom with a Japanese soaking tub set in a tranquil wet room complete with heated flooring and enclosed in floor to ceiling glass. This serene space was designed to evoke a Zen-like atmosphere with teak accents and an earth toned pallet but with unique touches, such as pendant lighting at varying heights above the vanity and feature wall of high color variation ceramic tile.

Features & Challenges of the Project:

Structural challenges, including fire damage from a previous owner, required careful attention to ensure safety and resolve issues related to past work, all while maintaining the integrity of the design vision.
