Earthy Elegance: Mount Lebanon Kitchen Remodel

This Kitchen Renovation Project reimagines a small, outdated kitchen into an open, functional space that is perfect for both cooking and entertaining. Designed with the homeowners' love of cooking and hosting in mind, the renovation also considered how to integrate this new space into their existing layout. Key design solutions included the addition of a pantry to conceal an existing chimney structure, as well as the incorporation of finish materials and paint colors that complemented the existing textured stucco archway that leads to the renovated space. The chimney was cleverly integrated into the pantry, and the earthy, old-world style was carefully maintained to align with the homeowners' vision.

The color palette and materials were intentionally selected to evoke an earthy, old-world feel, with muddy green paint, soapstone-look quartz countertops, and marble mosaics bringing timeless elegance and warmth to the space. The project’s priorities focused on maximizing storage and flexibility. Built-in cabinetry was added to provide extra storage and buffet space, while a new island was integrated to offer more workspace and flexibility, especially for entertaining.

The removal of the half wall between the kitchen and dining room further opened up the space, creating a seamless flow between both areas. Despite the kitchen's narrow layout, thoughtful design strategies were employed to optimize the space, making it both functional and visually appealing. The renovation not only enhanced the kitchen’s functionality but also created a welcoming environment that accommodates the family’s needs, making it an ideal space for both everyday use and family gatherings.
