Nautical-Inspired: Thornburg Primary Bath
Project Details
Our clients came to Marvista Design + Build with nautical inspiration for their primary bath. We used a blend of organic and natural textures in the space to bring their vision to life. The tempered sapphire ceramic tile and the wave texture of the shower wall tile set the scene for this grand primary bathroom. We also created a custom vanity with an elegant curved sink base that flows into the curved tub platform and incorporated plenty of natural light.

Features + Challenges
-To complete the nautical theme, the perfect tub had to be sourced. The “Pescadero” Victoria Albert tub inspired by the sea complemented the other forms in the space.
-We worked closely with the granite fabricator to select the parts of the slab used for the vanity.
-We prioritized plenty of storage in the vanity, including built-in hampers and open shelving.
-Our clients were also interested in a hidden toilet paper and magazine rack which we incorporated into the design.
