Modern Serenity: Squirrel Hill Third-Floor Remodel

Project Details

Our clients came to us ready to reimagine their home’s third floor, transforming it into a dedicated retreat for their two daughters. The goal: create two new bedrooms, a shared bathroom, and a spacious, highly functional laundry room, all with thoughtful design and long-lasting style.

In the bathroom, we embraced a sophisticated onyx-inspired tile for both the shower and walls, bringing in the luminous depth and natural veining characteristic of the material. This striking backdrop is balanced by a Fabuwood Oyster-painted vanity, offering soft warmth and subtle contrast. Warm brushed brass fixtures elevate the space with a refined glow, tying together the modern elegance of the finishes.

Beyond the bath, each new bedroom features custom closets tailored to the girls’ needs, giving them room to grow and stay organized. Throughout the entire third floor, including the laundry room, we installed a cost-effective wood-look luxury vinyl tile that delivers durability without compromising on style.

The completed space feels cohesive, elevated, and intentional, a newly imagined upper floor designed to serve the family beautifully for years to come.

How Our Design-Build Process Works

Remodeling doesn’t have to be overwhelming. We’ve spent years building a process that keeps things clear, organized, and efficient—start to finish. You won’t be chasing contractors or stuck waiting for answers. Our three-phase design-build approach brings everything under one roof: design, pricing, and construction. Here's how it flows:
Discovery

We get to know your home, understand how you live, and map out the possibilities. This includes layout options, a realistic investment range, and a clear scope of work so everyone’s aligned from the start.

Design Finalization

Once the big decisions are made, we dive into the details—materials, finishes, drawings, and walkthroughs. We’ll help you make confident selections and lock in a fixed price before we build a thing.

Construction

With everything approved and ordered, our in-house team and trusted trade partners get to work. You’ll get daily updates, streamlined communication, and a build that runs the way it should.
